Course Description & Objectives: 
  1. Health related issues in Physiology.
  2. Unit 1:   Concepts in health policy, planning and management.
  3. Unit 2:  Management of personnel in a health care organization.
  4. Unit 3:  Introduction to concepts in health economics and financial Management
  5. Unit 4:  Management of material (drug, medical supplies, medical equipment,   transport and health infrastructure).
  6. Unit 5:  Informing systems and basic performance indicators.
  7. Unit 6:  Medic0-legal aspects of health care management and regulation.

 

Learning Outcomes: 

By the end of this course, Students will be able to:-

  • Outline the health policy and System.
  • Lead the process of preparing strategic and operational plans for their organizations.
  • Work with and supervise other health workers.
  • Undertake financial management.
  • Collect and utilize information for management decision making.
