Course Description & Objectives: 

This course introduces the principles of Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Demography and their application to community health. It also introduces the Health Management Information System (HMIS) and highlights the processes and utilization of the HMIS in community health.

Learning Outcomes: 

The students should be able to:

  1. Explain the basic principles and concepts of Epidemiology
  2. Describe the application of Epidemiology in Community Health Management
  3. Explain the basic concepts of Biostatistics
  4. Describe the application of Biostatistics in Community Health Management
