Course Description & Objectives: 

The course exposes the students to the practical methods of protecting forests against insect pests, diseases and fires. Students acquire hands on experience in controlling pests and diseases and preventing forest fires.

Learning Outcomes: 
  • use forest protection methods
  • Diagonise of diseases and insect pest problems on trees in nurseries, forests and on-farm
  • Prevent and fight forest fires
