Course Description & Objectives:

ENT surgery: Anatomy and physiology of the upper airway: Assessment of the ear, nose, and throat. Disorders of the ear, nose and throat - traumatic, infectious, neoplastic.Developmental disorders. Speech anomalies. Removal of foreign bodies from the ear, nose and throat. Tracheotomy. Tonsillo-adenoidectomies. Sinus washout.Objectives:

To identify the different anatomical structures of the upper respiratory system.
Assessment of Ear, Nose and Throat conditions and their effects on surgical treatment outcome.
Differentiate those conditions necessary for referral to an ENT surgeon from those which do not.
