Course Description & Objectives: 

The course covers preservation of tissues both for microscopic and gross anatomical studies.  All types of tissue preparation and preservation both for short term and long term storage.

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course, the student should have the ability to demonstrate the different types of tissue preservation and embalming both for short term and long term purposes.  Handling of human cadavers for academic and bereaved families, as well as ability to prepare and assemble a human skeleton. Should demonstrate proper disposure of human remains.
