- Designing, preparation and costing of tour circuits and itineraries.
- Conducting of tours, accommodation reservations; tour, travel and transport procedures. Understanding of the major economic, socio-cultural and environmental factors influencing the tour operating industry knowledge of public relations in relation to a tour operator,
- Tour operation law (In particular the tasks and responsibilities of a tour operator)
- Contracting: Knowledge of - the major and concepts associated with tour operating law Contracts made between the wholesaler and the producers
- Economics: understanding of the economics of tour operating
- Technology- Understanding of major technological developments in the tour operating industry Research.
