The main objective of the programme of Civil Engineering Surveying is to educate students in order for them to achieve sufficient knowledge, skills and width of view to meet the demands of the job market and the national development objectives.Educational ObjectivesSpecifically, the programme is intended:
GENERAL REGULATIONSMakerere University regulations pertaining to application, registration, examinations and awards shall apply. ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS Admission to first yearAdmission into the first year is through any of the three avenues, the Direct Entry Scheme, the Mature Age Scheme and the Diploma Holders Scheme. Direct Entry SchemeAn applicant should posses at least two advanced level passes of the Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education or its equivalent and the weighting system should be as follows:
Mature Age SchemeAdmission also can be granted by mature age entry scheme after passing two special mature age University examinations in aptitude and specialised knowledge relevant to Civil Engineering Surveying. Diploma Holders Entry SchemeHolders of the Uganda National Examinations Board Ordinary Technical Diploma or its equivalent can be admitted to the programme. Applicants should have obtained a Credit Class diploma with at least a Credit Pass in Mathematics. All applicants, no matter the avenue of entry, must demonstrate, during their studies, a desire for an outdoor life.
