The course introduces students to development, microscopic appearance, function and molecules of blood and body fluids.

Learning Outcomes:

Appreciation of the functional organization and characteristics of the haemopoietic System.
Ability to explain the formation and functions of blood and body fluids
Demonstration of ability to identify blood cells
Skills in carrying out hematological tests, and interpretation of result findings
Demonstration of ability to determine serum proteins
