This course introduces general concepts of heat and thermodynamics and requires

Learning Outcomes: 

At the end of the course the student should be able to:·         State the relationship between temperature and heat;·         Analyse thermodynamic changes using laws of thermodynamics;·         Use the equation of state and the simple kinetic theory in solving problems;·         State the laws of thermodynamics and apply them to the real world;·         Use Maxwell’s distribution of velocities to obtain mean speed and mean velocity.
