This course is an advanced treatment of macroeconomic theory, models, practice, and policies. The course presents a critical review of both mainstream and structuralist macroeconomic traditions. The relevance of the forgoing to the contemporary world of developed and developing countries, specifically to the African context will be adequately emphasized.The course main objective is to enable students develop an understanding of the macroeconomic theories; and skills to apply the theory and techniques in conceptualizing macro-economic issues, analyzing relevant macroeconomic policies and issues related to agriculture and evaluate macroeconomic policies and their impacts in contemporary developing countries. objectives:
