This course is offered to final year undergraduate physics, in the Bachelor of Science programme of Makerere University. The course introduces students to the microwave region of the electromagnetic spectrum.
By the end of the course, the student should be able to:· Apply the principles of generation, transmission and application of microwaves;· Relate these principles to the telecommunications in the country;· Explore the optical communication systems techniques and compare with other methods of transmission.
