The course describes the radiotherapy equipment and techniques for head and neck, spine, lungs, pleura, breast, and specific disease.
By the end of the course, the student should be able to:1. Demonstrate ability to operate therapy equipment.2. Discuss approach to cancer patient management3. Describe the radiotherapy equipment and techniques for head and neck, spine, lungs, pleura, breast, and specific diseases.4. Demonstrate ability to plan and carry out radiotherapy procedures for head and neck, spine, lungs, pleura, breast, and specific diseases.5. Participate in radiotherapy and record 10 treatment and ten planning procedures in the logbook Expected outcomes/Competencies:• A student with skills to carry out radiotherapy techniques for various body systems as well as demonstration of good professional conduct with patients• A student with knowledge of Quality assurance• Ability to carry out palliative radiotherapy
