The course builds on prior knowledge in therapy technique and focuses also on the importance of palliative care, nutritional card during radiotherapy. Dissymmetric practice; parallel opposing portals; special gamma ray techniques; interstitial techniques and the use of radiopharmaceuticals are explained.
By the end of the course, the student should be able to:1. Describe the radiotherapy equipment and techniques for head and neck, spine, lungs, pleura, breast, and specific diseases.2. Demonstrate ability to plan and carry out radiotherapy procedures for head and neck, spine, lungs, pleura, breast, and specific diseases.3. Discuss dissymmetric practice4.
