Course Description & Objectives: 

This course will introduce students to trade in natural resources and its impacts on environment. It examines the relationship between trade and environment, including impacts of poverty and sustainable development. The problem of trans-boundary trade in hazardous substances, and the issue of intellectual property rights are also covered. National and international policies as they relate to exploitation of and trade in natural resources are also examined.
