Course Description & Objectives: 

The course introduces students to qualitative and quantitative business research methods. It covers: key concepts in business research; types of business research; the research process; designs of business research, identification of researchable business problems; searching and reviewing research related literature, variable measurement, population and sample selection, types of samples and sampling procedures sources, data collection tools.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          Objective:

  • To equip students with skills and knowledge in social research methodology in an effort to encourage innovative ways of addressing the challenges and opportunities in the dynamic rural and agricultural development contexts.

 

Learning Outcomes: 
  • Equip students with proposal writing skills to develop competitive proposals for both donor funding and academic purposes.
  • Enable students to apply and integrate various qualitative and quantitative data collection procedures in real life situations.
