Course Description & Objectives: 

Computer applications course is aimed at introducing students to the origin, purpose and use of computers at an elementary level. The course lays foundation for other courses like research methods and statistics, remote sensing and Geographic Information Systems and enables students to use computers in their daily requirements like search for information on the internet. The course also prepares students to use computers in working out world challenges with particular emphasis to environment and natural resource management.
