The course aims to impart skills in pest and vector identification, assessment, sampling and management. By the end of the course students should be able to:- Illustrate the significance of IPVM to food security and public health.- Recognise the important pests and vectors of Uganda.- Design a pest/vector management strategy that is technically viable, ecologically sound, socially acceptable and financially feasible.- Evaluate the merits and limitations of any pest/vector management programme.
