This course will cover the physical and chemical properties of water, physiological effects of these properties on plants, water uptake and distribution in plants, mineral uptake and nutrition by plants.

At the end of the course, the student should be able to:1. explain how the physical and chemical properties of water affect the physiological status of plants,2. describe the effects of environmental factors on the dynamics of water uptake by plants and plant communities,
