Course Description & Objectives:

The course covers concepts of curriculum, curriculum development for education and training concepts; curriculum elements and determinants, curriculum development process, selection and use of curriculum models. It also covers the different models and how they can be applied to education and training concepts.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

Describe the common concepts, the elements and determinants of a curriculum
Select and use an appropriate curriculum model to build a curriculum
Assess learning needs; write objectives; select content and obtain instructional resources for a training activity
Plan, implement, and evaluate a training programme
