Course Description & Objectives: 

Population variables: fertility, mortality, and migration. Ecological view of human populations. Socio-economic and political factors affecting human populations. Human population statistics. Immigration and emigration, and their effects on economic development. Examination of the critical variables in processes that relate man to his/her environment.  Emphasis on the biological, cultural, social and psychological forces which encourage stability or change in human ecological relationships.
